Chapter Lead – Sarah Herrmann

Sarah is a Philly native and 2009 graduate of Temple University.  She currently runs the IT Division at Juno Search Partners, a women-owned boutique search firm in Center City. Sarah is ecstatic to be a part of Philly’s diverse technology community and enjoys volunteering with organizations such as Philabundance, City Year and Child Advocates. She currently lives in Montgomery country with her husband and son!

Career Events Lead – Jackie Nestor

Jackie grew up outside of Philadelphia and graduated from Temple University in 2011. She has been working as a digital project manager within the pharmaceutical advertising industry for the past six years. Jackie is passionate about mentoring young women and promoting diversity and equality in the workforce. She was drawn to ChickTech knowing that she would be helping women grown in their careers as well as helping young women find their passions and confidence in the world of technology.

Communications Coordinator – Melissa Newman

Melissa is currently earning her Masters in Digital Innovation in Marketing at Temple University’s Fox School of Business. She’s a Recreation Therapist by trade and has five years of experience facilitating Recreation Therapy groups within a variety of healthcare settings. She’s excited to support the Philadelphia Chapter of ChickTech as their Communications Coordinator, because of her commitment to helping women and girls reach their true potential. When not working you can usually find her listening to SZA or Florence and The Machine while drinking one to many Iced Americanos, strength training at the gym, making cupcakes in her kitchen, and exploring the city with her friends.

Chapter Advisory Board – Dorothy O’Hara

Dorothy is a native of Philadelphia and a Human Resources and Operations Executive with broad experience in Strategic Leadership of growth trending technology companies.  Dorothy uniquely specializes in scaling start-up companies in Technology and Life Sciences Industries, whose strategies are aggressive growth and/or M&A.
Ms. O’Hara has been involved with ChickTech since 2015.  Through the introduction by a mutual friend, Dorothy and ChickTech Founder, Janice Levenhagen have since formed a strong relationship that has grown over the years, due in part by their common desire to advance women in the workforce by developing their skills in the fields of science, technology, engineering and science (STEM).  Since 2015, Ms. O’Hara has been assisting Ms. Levenhagen in building a national following of like-minded women, and launching the Philadelphia Chapter, ChickTech Philly. Ms. O’Hara holds a BA in Organizational Management from Eastern University and a PHR certification for Professionals in Human Resources and Strategic HR Management. For the past 20 years, Dorothy has been a resident of Conshohocken, PA, where she lives with her two daughters.
